A big thank you to the UK Shared Prosperity Fund for providing us with grants that enable us to deliver our Conversation Café and Stepping Out Groups.
Stepping Out is a weekly musical theatre-focussed group that acts as a creative, supportive space for older people to work with our experienced facilitators, as well as a much valued space for social interactions. We recently held a Christmas sharing where friends and family came to support and celebrate with us.
Conversation Café offers a friendly welcome to local refugees and asylum seekers. We work together to increase confidence in speaking English and make new friends over a cup of tea and a biscuit.
These projects are part-funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and have received £13453 from the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
The UKSPF is led by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities. Stepping Out and Conversation Café is being delivered Theatre Royal Wakefield in partnership with the West Yorkshire Combined Authority, acting as Lead Authority for the Funds.
