News Story
Theatre Royal Wakefield and Trinity Academy Cathedral are part of the National Theatre's new initiative Speak Up. This is a nationwide project for schools, which will see young people working in collaboration with local artists and teachers to lead creative projects in response to issues that are most important to them.
On 27th July, we are proud to be exhibiting our work at Theatre Royal Wakefield as part of Art Walk Wakefield. Together, we have co-created a piece of work called 'Believe in Your Sen' a
season of work that includes:
- A new piece of art work designed by The Year 9 Nurture Group and designer Emma Hardaker.
- No Balloons and The Chimp in My Brain: two cutting edge films that explore sexual harassment and mental health. Co-created by CAPA Juniors and Fly Girl Films.
- An audio exhibition made with young people in the chaplaincy, voiced by Helen Monks. You are very welcome to bring and use your own headphones for this part of the exhibition if you would like.
We would love to invite you to join us to celebrate the incredible work we have made together.
