Our Executive Director Katie Town has been appointed as a trustee of the Theatres Trust by the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport - Oliver Dowden. The appointment runs for three years from 14 September 2020 to 13 September 2023.
Before Katie came to Wakefield she worked in various roles for organisations such as the Royal Opera House, Tavaziva Dance and Candoco Dance Company. Most recently however, she was General Manager for the Learning Department at the National Theatre.

Katie actually qualified as a barrister before deciding that her destiny lay in the world of the arts. Who can blame her?
She's joined by Annie Hampson, a Chartered Town Planner who prior to March 2020 was the Chief Planning Officer at the City of London Corporation and Jane Spiers, who has been Chief Executive of Aberdeen Performing Arts since 2012.
