Congratulations to Meg Elsegood who ran the Sheffield Half Marathon at the weekend to raise money for Theatre Royal Wakefield. Meg ran the half marathon in an incredible 2 hours and 8 minutes! Well done Meg and thank you so much for choosing to support the Theatre. Meg has already raised over £800 – could you sponsor Meg to help her reach £1,000? Every little helps and will go a long way to support the Theatre to continue our work on and off stage.

If you are a fan of our pantomime, you might recognise Meg as Alice Fitzwarren from Dick Whittington, or Belle from Beauty and the Beast. Meg also trained at our Performance Academy and performed on our stage from a young age in various Wakefield Youth Music Theatre productions, so the Theatre holds a very special place in her heart and supported her towards a professional career in the performing arts.
