To celebrate the wonderful British institution that is panto, The National Theatre (yes, that big one in London) have launched The Great British Panto Party.
Pantomime comes to The National Theatre for one year only and you can watch it from the comfort of your home via their Youtube channel from 23-27 December. Dick Whittington promises to bring all the magic, wonder and delight that you'd expect. In fact the only thing that's missing is Chris Hannon.
The folks at The National Theatre are clever though, they know how much we love our dames! So much so, that they've made this fantastic film all about panto dames. Go on, have a watch, we'll wait... no, seriously watch it, we think you'll recognise someone!
We are so proud to have been involved in the making of this film.
We all want Panto to continue. One way that you can help to make sure it does is by giving a donation to Theatre Royal Wakefield. Any amount, no matter how small will make a huge difference. It will mean that we can carry on our important work in the community as well as bringing festive magic to the hearts of children for years to come.
Don't forget to watch Dick Whittington from the 23 December. If the neighbours complain about your boos, cheers and it's behind you's.... well, we know a man with a water pistol ;-)
