A Performance Academy student gets into character

After spending months taking part in online classes, our Performance Academy students were able to return to in-person sessions last weekend after the easing of restrictions made this possible.
All sessions followed covid secure guidelines and were held at the theatre in our Walker Studio, on our Matcham stage as well as across the street at Unity House.
Students were able to get back to full particiption in singing, dancing and acting for the first time since lockdown started in January.
'We've waited a long time to be able to re-start these sessions and it's hugely uplifting to be able to have our students back at the theatre safely doing what they love. The impact of the pandemic will be far reaching for a long time to come and these young people deserve to be able to get some respite from that by taking part in classes that they not only enjoy, but for many, will contribute to their future career choices'Rhiannon Hannon, Head of Learning & Participation
