Stride Theatre have raised a fantastic £58 to support Theatre Royal Wakefield with their ‘Name the Bear’ competition! It was a pleasure to welcome members of the SEN adults performing arts group to the Theatre on Monday to receive their donation (Goldie the bear came along, too!). The group had the chance to get up on stage and find out a bit more about the Theatre. It was great to hear their favourite memories from past performances and what they are looking forward to seeing soon. We’re delighted that the group finds the Theatre such an inspiring space.
Stride began in 2016 delivering weekly workshops predominantly to adults and children with learning difficulties and disabilities. They bring people together from all walks of life, using theatre to embrace creativity and self-expression.
We are really grateful to Stride for choosing to support the Theatre and raising vital funds to support our work on and off stage.
We are always looking for energised individuals and groups to help us raise vital funds for Theatre Royal Wakefield.
